Privacy Policy

Go Me is a workout app with a voice coach. It is made by an independent developer ("we", "us"). This page explains what data the app uses, why, and where the data is kept.
In short
- Your workouts, voice recordings, phrases, music tracks, photos and body weight stay on your iPhone. We can't see them.
- Go Me has no accounts and no server of its own.
- The app sends simple usage data (analytics) to help us make it better. This data never includes your name, recordings, photos, body weight or Apple Health data.
- In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the app asks you before it sends usage data. Everyone can turn it off in Settings at any time.
- We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
Data that stays on your iPhone
The app keeps this data only on your iPhone:
- workouts and workout history;
- your voice recordings and your own phrases;
- music tracks that you add;
- photos that you add;
- body weight;
- your name and profile photo, if you add them.
If iCloud Backup is on, this data is part of your iPhone backup. Apple keeps this backup, and Apple's Privacy Policy covers it. We can't open it.
To delete this data, delete it in the app or delete the app.
iCloud
The free Pro start is for one time only. To check this, the app saves one small note in your iCloud: "free Pro start used". The note has nothing else in it.
Apple Health
Only if you allow it, Go Me:
- saves your workouts to Apple Health: type, time, length, approximate active calories and your “How was it?” answer;
- reads and saves your body weight.
Data from Apple Health stays on your iPhone. We never send it to ourselves or to anyone else, never use it for ads and never add it to usage data. You can change this access at any time in the Health app.
Microphone
The app uses the microphone only when you record your phrases, and it asks you first. Recordings stay on your iPhone.
Music
- Tracks that you add from Files are copied into the app and stay on your iPhone.
- If you use Apple Music in the app, the app asks for access to your music library. It only plays the songs that you choose. We don't get your library or what you listen to.
Photos
You choose which photos to add. The app keeps them only inside the app and doesn't add them to your Photos library.
Usage data (analytics)
We use Amplitude to learn how people use the app: for example, if people finish their first workout, which features they use and where they stop. This helps us fix problems and make the app better.
What the app sends:
- actions in the app, for example: a workout started or finished, workout length, number of exercises, your effort rating (1–10), which voice the coach uses (built-in or yours), which music source you use, how you press Done, when the Pro screen opens and which Pro plan you buy;
- device information: iPhone model, iOS version, app version, language and country;
- an ID that the app makes for your device. It is not linked to your name or Apple ID.
What the app never sends: your name, voice recordings, phrases, photos, track names, names of your own exercises, body weight, Apple Health data or exact location.
The app takes your country from your iPhone's region setting. It doesn't send your IP address with this data, so Amplitude doesn't know your city.
Your choice:
- In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent first. Without your consent, it sends nothing. Under the GDPR, your consent is the legal basis for this data.
- In other countries, usage data is on by default.
- Everyone can turn usage data off or on at any time: Settings → Share usage data.
Amplitude, Inc. is in the USA, so this data may be processed there. Amplitude uses it only to give us analytics. Amplitude's privacy notice: amplitude.com/privacy
We keep usage data only as long as we need it to make the app better.
Purchases
Apple handles all payments. We don't get your name, email or card details. The app only gets information from Apple about which Pro plan is active.
No ads, no tracking
Go Me has no ads. We don't sell your data or share it for ads. We don't track you across apps and websites of other companies.
Children
Go Me is not made for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR), you can ask what data we have about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and say no to its use. Most of your data is only on your iPhone, so you control it yourself. About usage data, write to us at hello.gomeapp@gmail.com. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
